Pricing and Delivery

FluteWorks Seattle will charge you the same amount for your instrument that Eva Kingma would charge if you purchased it from her workshop in the Netherlands. Because each players choices are unique, we have not priced each instrument on our website. Once you decide on your options, we will give you an estimate of the price and the delivery time. You can change those options up to the very day production starts on your new Kingma.

Prices are finalized once production begins on your instrument. At that time, no more changes can be made to the options on the flute. We require a 50% downpayment when production starts. The remainder is due 2 weeks before it ships out from the Netherlands.

About Eva Kingma

Eva Kingma began building flutes in 1975 alongside Dirk Kuiper at his shop in Holland. Eva took over the company in 1981. Since 1988, it has been located in the picturesque village of Grolloo in the Netherlands.

She has worked closely with many renowned flute builders. Together with Bickford Brannen, she redesigned the mechinism on her low flutes, making them much lighter and very elegant. The result is the Kingma & Brannen design, available in all models.

The patented Kingma System flute was also developed in her workshop. This key-on-key design is available on alto, bass, and C flutes. It allows the player to produce a variety of sonoraties though quartertones and multiphonic vents.
