We are happy to introduce our newest innovation, the Rent to Upgrade beginner flute rental program! Start your musical journey off right by renting a flute with FluteWorks Seattle. You can return the flute for no extra charge after your first 3 months. But, if you stick with it, you can build credit towards purchasing an upgrade!
The Rent to Upgrade Advantage
- Rent for 12 months. Receive a discount of $150 on the purchase of a flute valued over $1000.
- Rent for 24 months. Receive a discount of $300 on the purchase of a flute valued over $1200.
- Rent for 36 months. Receive a discount of $600 on the purchase of a flute valued over $1500.
At FluteWorks Seattle, we aren’t just looking for short-term customers. By encouraging our beginners to move up to better flutes, we hope to keep their interest and help them develop into great flute players for life!
New and Used Rental Fees
The rental fee for a new student model instrument is just $45 per month plus tax. This includes the $39 rental fee and the $6 Maintenance and Replacement Policy.
The rental fee for a used student model instrument is just $29 per month plus tax. This includes the $23 rental fee and the $6 Maintenance and Replacement Policy. Used instruments are in great condition. FluteWorks Seattle cleans and maintains them each time they are returned to us.
Maintenance and Replacement Policy
The rental fees include a Maintenance and Replacement Policy. One of the things that a new flute player has to learn is how to take care of a flute. Small accidents in the first year or two are not uncommon. If the flute is accidentally damaged or has normal wear-and-tear, you just bring it in or ship it back to us. We can almost always fix it while-you-wait for free! If you need to ship it to us, you pay shipping both ways. The repair will most likely be accomplished the same day it arrives in our shop. We will return ship it to you the next business day. If lost in shipping to or from FluteWorks Seattle via UPS, the flute is covered under this policy. Read more about shipping your flute to us.
Theft Protection
If the flute is stolen from your home, the band room, or other authorized place, we will replace it. We will provide another flute in similar condition to your rental at the time it was stolen. The contract will continue. You must report the theft to your local police and submit a police report to FluteWorks Seattle within 10 days of the theft.
FluteWorks Seattle provides no replacement guarantee for flutes stolen from a car. Flutes should not be left in cars due to heat and ease of theft. Please treat a flute like a beloved pet dog or cat.
Shipping
If you are too far away to come pick up the flute, no problem! We can complete the rental contract electronically or over email. For a $10 shipping fee we will ship the flute to you via UPS Ground anywhere in 49 states! For Hawaii, this fee is $25. You will be responsible for return shipping for any maintenance issues or to end the contract. Insurance will not be required for shipping the instrument to or from FluteWorks Seattle. If lost or stolen in shipping to or from FluteWorks Seattle via UPS, it will be covered in the Maintenance and Replacement Policy.
